We found two extra drawer slides that we used to prototype and test before figuring out the string configuration for the ladder lift.

In order for the lift to not get caught and on its way down we spot-welded hex head nuts onto the different stages of the ladder lift. I was excited to learn how to use the spotwelder. We then put the draw slides back together, attached them to the arm, and put the bucket back on.

We still have to add some parts from the previous draw slides (we spotwelded the hex head nuts onto new drawer slides) and add the strings.
