Drag, Cut, Website, Repeat

In preparation for CDR (Critical Design Review) @ Lockheed Martin (one of our big sponsors) this Friday we make two videos.  One to introduce our team, to show what we are doing, and for some laughs.  The other is a montage of everything we have done so far, showing our progress and such.
We usually use Final Cut Studio 2 to complete this huge task, but our iMac has been crashing frequently while running the likes of FCP and Safari, and our copy of FCP won’t load our camera’s “.mts” files (Weird, Huh?).  So we have been using an Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 30 day trial.  Our Intro is complete, and I look forward to posting it up here soon!

Unlike previous year’s website.  This year we decided to use Drupal, a Content Management System (CMS).  This allows us to have multiple users all posting to the same site, edit content, make content, and install modules without our team having to know code.  Although knowing code is still useful if you want to make custom page layouts.  We are almost done with this site, but still needs content and final design decisions, now that we have FTP and phpMyAdmin access.  Shout-out to David for our slick intro landing page.  Our main site is now stormrobots.org.
Some members are working on our online scouting tool.  It is coming along nicely and works on Android and iOS, just like this website.
