FTC4390 Engineering Notebook

Friday, November 15, 2013

The last day before the competition. Luckily, since we host the fall qualifier, we always spend the night before working. Tonight, we tied up the loose ends. We needed to finish the arm system. Also, we tested the software. Julie and I were selected as driver, and were hoping to practice a little tonight. We have never driven before. Unfortunately, that never happened, we were too busy working on the mechanical aspects of the robot. Julie, Sara, and I were also madly working on the engineering notebook. We had everything written, it was just a matter of proofreading, formatting, and hitting print. By the end of the night, we were mostly finished, but it takes a while to read every entry, so I will be still stuck staying up late to finish proofreading. I’m excited about tomorrow’s competition. I feel like we can be strong competitors, if we are good drivers and any last minute changes get completed. I know tomorrow morning we have to tighten the wheels and organize the team. I hope tomorrow is a good day. I hope our team can come together, like we have been doing all season, and work together for success.
Until next time,
Grace Stridick
4390 Team Captain
