Our sub-team consisting of Mike, Bill and Maddie accomplished building and finishing the catapult winch today. The SIM motor drives a series of gears that transfer to the shaft at the end. We approximate the end shaft is spinning at 1.5-2rpm with a lot of torque.

The purpose of the gear box is to winch back the catapult and then shift into a “neutral” gear to release with the use of a pneumatic piston.
