The Storm Robotics Team proudly competes in and represents FIRST!

FIRST stands for “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology” and was founded in 1989 by inventor Dean Kamen.

The mission of FIRST is “to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.”

Students in FIRST programs develop a wide variety of 21st century skills that transcend the traditional classroom experience. Students work with mentors to solve problems in a team environment built on the values of Gracious ProfessionalismTM and CoopertitionTM.
